BOOK REVIEW : Breaking Silence 2 by Rohit Shetty.

A BOOK FROM A HEART, FOR A HEART & TO ALL HEARTS...

'Breaking Silence-2' the second pearl from the string of the 'Breaking Silence Series' yet again, a book filled with rhymes of the heart. As the cover page of the book portrays this book is a collection of poems that express the emotion of pain, suffering, loneliness, memories, tears, friendship and love. Most of the poems in this collection will connect with a situation in your life so well to put you down to tears. The words, the feelings and the story narration in most of the poems are personally connecting the life of any and every ordinary man.

My Personal Favorite pick from this book is :

I Miss You

I love you more
than mere words can say
so why do you always make me
feel this way

i do anything
i can do to please
but you just leave me
begging on my knees

i don't think my heart
can bear this much more
even though i am angry now
it is only you that i adore

(cont.)

And one that has always been lingering my mind since its first read... the one that will tickle every heart... the one that gives birth to a thought, "aahh!! wish i had someone who says this for me"

I'm Here For You

If ever you need me,
i'll be right here,
to chase away the sadness
and wipe away a tear.

if ever you need me,
i'll be two steps behind,
to follow in your footsteps,
and hear whats on your mind.

(cont.)

The poet, Mr. Rohit Shetty has amazingly succeeded yet again to pen down this thoughts, feelings, memories of love, hatred, pain, care, loneliness, appreciation, admiration and many more in the music of his rhymes. Though most of the poems do not have a regular rhyme scheme but still one's mind just wonders with its flow.

One strange thing spotted was... you will find few poems written from a feminine narrative voice. Beautifully read, understood and represented a Girl's Heart.

MUST READ!!!!!!!

BOOK REVIEW - The Fifth Season by Rayna Dee

Name Of The Book: The Fifth Season

Author:  Rayna Dee

Publisher:  AuthorHouse

Review

'The Fifth Season'... the title of the book and its cover design goes fabulously in a deep sync with its story line. The cover design metaphorically expresses the emotions from the story to be explored within the book.
Daman Rathore, a boy who has build his life from rags to riches. He lost his parents to ill-health at the young age of 12 due to their weak financial state. Rises in life with the help of his uncle and from then his major priority becomes 'money'. Stubborn and Arrogant in nature, Daman believes not even a little in love. He prefers keeping himself at a safe distance from it until he meets Muskaan Goel. Muskan is a very bubbly and a girl full of life. though her past has also a painful story to narrate but still it barely came on her face. A girl who believed in kindness, humanity and love. She was waiting for her prince to come down on a white horse with a 'baarat' blocking the traffic on the busy Delhi roads and take her along. But, fate had some other plans for the two.
And as Rayan says, "Daman & Muskan are two dissimilar people fated together!"
The Debut author Rayan Lee has a beautiful narration skill. the characterization of each character has put life to the 'names' from the novel. But, there were times when the in-depth description of situations and characters disturbs the flow of the story. Author often switches on and off from the present tract of the story that makes the reader be very attentive. Though not a complete untouched zone of the romance genre but well crafted story line, emotionally bounding and thoughtful. Has portrayed well the changing shades of any personality as per the situation demands.
'The Fifth Season' romance fiction novel by Rayan Lee is a story of 'when opposites attract' a good read for the romance fiction lovers. Though the story is not a surprise package but with Rayan's engaging narration it makes a good read.

About the Author:

A 24/7 mom, a wife, a loving one when need be, a winger in the corporate world, and between all this when time permits, an author! Leading an ordinary life working in financial services. Happily married, have two wonderful kids, and soon will have a new addition, a labradodle… a pretty successful career, and still  something missing…

When the author was little, about 8, She wanted to be an author, but then making a living happened, and soon when she turned fifteen and did not even remember that once she had such an ambition. It came back to her after many, many years, on one of  her cringe-inciting corporate winging session.

She is  not a pundit nor a philosophy major, nor English for that matter. The Author writes about life and love, the way she understands it, and then add a little mystery to it.

Book Review - Breaking Silence By Rohit Shetty.

Poetry Book : Breaking Silence
Poet : Rohit Shetty

'Breaking Silence' as it reads, is a wonderful collection of emotion's outburst in verses. The cover design of the book which has a water balloon burst in darkness but in safe hands, itself expresses a lot that lies inside. The Poet of the book Mr. Rohit Shetty is an India Book of Record Holding poet for his 400 poetries published within a year. Being an introvert he has always preferred to keep his thoughts and feelings mostly to himself and pen it down in the form of poems. He started writing poetries from the young age of 12. After his 1st published book 'Silent Voices' Shetty once again successfully tickles every heart with their words and flows them in the stream of his rhymes.

"In silence I created an air of suspense
and they capitalized on it in my absence.
In silence all my thoughts mingled;
some of which should have been singled.

Shush!! Silence.
I'm breaking the silence
as I finish this sentence.
Silence I demand
Give back to me my independence."

- Rohit Shetty.
(Lines from 'Breaking The Silence')

The above was a quick insight of the book. This book carries poems of various types, there are perfect rhymes, sonnets, free verses, blank verses and of-course many of poets own personalized style. The poet has a breath taking flow of emotions sync with words in every piece of his art. There are poems that will make you laugh and cry, make you feel gleeful and heartsick, make you feel rejuvenated, motivated and depressed, lonely. And then, there are poems that make you think a little deeper of something that never caught your eye till date in your busy life. The poet has played beautifully with the metaphors, sounds and personifications in expressing his feelings in a settle manner. The poet in many of his work has gracefully taught us many lessons of life.

Shetty's 1st poetry book 'Silent Voices' was also a great success in 2011 published by Lead Start Publishing. This book 'Breaking Silence' has extended itself in a series of three more books under the same title but more varied topics to rhyme on. It's a must read for all the poetry lovers and also the non poetic readers. this book can be a great to start with, not just reading but will definitely inspire you to try your luck on expressing in rhymes.
